Our UKAGE membership

The U.K. Alliance for Global Equality (UKAGE)

The UK Alliance for Global Equality is a coalition made up of 16 U.K.-based civil society organisations. We work to promote the human rights, development needs, and equality, of LGBTQI+ populations across the globe. ReportOUT were the Chair of UKAGE in 2024, 2025, and we are again in 2026.

What do UKAGE do?

Our vision:

A world where everyone can participate fully in their society whatever their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or sex characteristics

Our mission:

To use our collective resources and influence to promote the human rights and equality of LGBTQ+ individuals and populations around the world, to end persecution and discrimination.

How we achieve this:

We achieve this by listening to, and supporting, LGBTQ+ activists, organisations, and populations in nation states, and then helping them to bring about change. We do this through serving as a collective voice for informing, campaigning, and lobbying decision-makers in the U.K. and, in turn, relevant global institutions.

What we do:

As an alliance of 16 U.K.-based civil society organisations, we garner our shared knowledge, intelligence, and resources, to elevate the voices and lives of global LGBTQ+ people and their populations. We also use our unified efforts in which to campaign and push for change, through techniques such as lobbying parliament, influencing, and public campaigning.
