Latest speakers and events at the global human rights and networking event SaferToBeMe# 2025 - 23rd and 24th October, Newcastle, Northeast England
As much of the world slides into populism and religious fundamentalism, never has it been more vital to stand up for our LGBTQ+ human rights.
Unprecedented line-up of speakers, events and social activities now unveiled
The good news is that the line-up for #SaferToBeMe, the global human rights summit in Newcastle UK, co-hosted by ReportOUT, 24-25 October, is growing daily.
We have now unveiled what is probably the largest line up of speakers at any UK LGBTQ conference with an amazing line-up of nearly 50 specialist speakers over the two days ranging from culture, politics, civil and human rights and self-help sessions relevant to the Global North and South.
More announcements coming over the next few weeks but can confirm global human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell will deliver a keynote on ‘Two heads of the same serpent: global populism and fundamentalism’.
A fabulous satellite programme of events throughout the whole week of the summit., including tours, queer entertainment, networking and information sessions.
