Jeroen Cooreman

Ambassador Cooreman has been a career diplomat for the past 28 years. He took up his position as Ambassador of Belgium to the United Kingdom in January 2025. Before his appointment as Ambassador in London, Mr. Cooreman was Director-General for Bilateral Affairs, a global role where he was overseeing all bilateral and geographic policy issues. In this capacity, he also served on the Foreign Ministry’s Management Board. Before joining the Foreign Service, Mr Cooreman worked as a brand manager for Vandemoortele, a Belgian fast- moving consumer goods company. He is fluent in Dutch (mother tongue), French, English and Spanish and also speaks some German.
